Strasbourg (France), l’Aubette

concert in the ‘Aubette’, organised by the Association Theo van Doesburg, in yearly coöperation with the museums of Straatsburg. This year the theme will be ‘Water’

The Aubette is a neoclassical building located at the Place Kléber in Strasbourg. The modernistic interiors have been designed by Theo van Doesburg, Hans Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp

Program: L’eau courante (Running water)  with works by J.S.Bach (the 6 Courantes from the French Suites, the English Suites and the Partitas), Jean-Philippe Rameau (Courante from the Suite in a minor), P.I.Tsjaikovsky (Barcarolle from ‘the Seasons’), Gabriël Fauré (Barcarolle nr.1), Claude Debussy (Ondine), Federico Mompou (La Barca, El Lago), Charles Griffes (The Lake at Evening), Luciano Berio (Wasserklavier) and Margaret Bonds (Troubled Water)

Due to Covid-19 this concert has been cancelled: France will be in complete lockdown during the whole month of November.

I will play this program two times as a livestreamed concert on the same day as the scheduled concert, at 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
