4:00 PM –  Concert with ‘Preludes and Fugues from Three Centuries’: Preludes and Fugues by J.S.Bach (1722 – 1742) from the Wohltemperierte Klavier, by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (op.35, 1837) and by Dimitri Shostakovich (op.87, 1951/2). Each time a Prelude and Fugue by Bach will be combined with one by Mendelssohn or Shostakovich in the same key. In this way, three centuries of Preludes and Fugues can be followed and compared.
